The annual calendar mechanism was patented in 1996, and the first model was released in the same year. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the annual calendar, this timepiece features horizontal windows for displaying the days of the week and the names of the months, and a date window at the 6 o'clock position.

The annual calendar is an ingenious mechanism that only requires the date to be adjusted once a year, and is one of Patek Philippe's best-sellers.

This model has a beautiful sunburst grey dial with a double guiche at 12 o'clock, a moon phase and date/24-hour display at 6 o'clock. The indexes have been changed from traditional bars to Breguet numerals, and the hands have been changed from leaf hands to dolphin hands.
