For over 100 years, its design has become one of Cartier's icons. The world's first wristwatch, the Santos, was created in 1904 in response to the Brazilian aviator Sir Santos-Dumont's desire to be able to check the time while flying.

It is an LM size and is equipped with the in-house automatic caliber 1847MC.

The case and bracelet are decorated with the screw motif unique to Santos watches. The Roman numerals on the dial and the square railway minute scale drawn inside them are characteristic of Cartier watch design.
