The Royal Oak Offshore was born in 1992 (introduced at Baselworld in 1993), about 20 years after the Royal Oak was introduced in 1972. Based on the first Royal Oak created by Gerald Genta, the design was done by Emmanuel Guillet, a young in-house designer at the time.

It uses the in-house automatic movement "Cal.3126/3840", which was developed to be equipped with a chronograph.

This model has a beautiful contrast between the 42mm yellow gold case and bracelet and the deep blue dial.
