Product Background

Announced in 2023 for Australia and New Zealand, this limited-edition model is inspired by the Naruto whirlpools found in the Naruto Strait in Tokushima Prefecture. It is an embodiment of Grand Seiko’s aesthetic, which captures Japan’s four seasons and natural landscapes in its timepieces. Its exclusivity is another major appeal, with only 150 pieces available—a distinct departure from the standard lineup in Japan.

Model features

The “SBGH331” is a special limited-edition model from the Heritage Collection, with only 150 pieces produced for the Oceania market. It is powered by the “Caliber 9S85” automatic Hi-Beat movement, which beats 36,000 times per hour and provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve. This timepiece combines the precision of Japanese watchmaking with the rarity of an overseas-exclusive model.

Product design

The highlight is the ice-blue dial featuring a three-dimensional radial pattern reminiscent of the Naruto whirlpools. Its delicate finish changes expression depending on the angle of the light, while the gold-colored seconds hand and GS logo add a glamorous accent. The 39.5 mm diameter stainless steel case harmonizes clean lines with polished brilliance, elegantly adorning the wrist.
