A Note from the Appraiser

Although there are some minor scratches and scuffs due to use, the case is in good condition and looks sturdy. The bracelet has some stretch, but is sturdy considering its age. The dial, featuring a rare computerized x 10-point diamond index, is in excellent condition and highly recommended. This is a semi-vintage day-date watch with a dial that is rarely seen, so if you are looking for one, please consider this one.

Product Background

Since its introduction in 1956, the Day-Date has established a reputation as Rolex's top-line watch.
This is Rolex's top-of-the-line model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum.
The bracelet is called the "President's Bracelet" after it was sent to the then US President Eisenhower.

Model features

The movement has been improved from Cal.3055 to Cal.3155, and stability and maintainability have been improved by adopting a twin bridge system that supports the balance on both sides instead of a single bridge system that supports the balance on one side.

Product design

The case and bracelet are made of 18K yellow gold and equipped with a special president bracelet, making this a highly luxurious watch.
