When it was released in 1956, it was the world's first wristwatch to display the date and the day of the week in full. It is Rolex's highest-end model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum. The bracelet that comes with it is called the "President Bracelet" after it was given to the then US President Eisenhower.

It features a President bracelet made of carefully selected precious metals. The accuracy standard for the in-house movement "Cal. 3255" is set at approximately twice that of previous chronometers.

Case diameter: 36mm. The fluted bezel, a symbol of excellence, is crafted entirely from gold, and the Everose gold hue exudes ultimate sophistication. The dial, made from the natural stone Eisenkiesel, is rare and not widely available.
