This is a Boys Explorer in rare condition that is hard to come by, so if you are looking for one, please consider purchasing this one.

The Explorer I is a boys' model based on the Ref. 5500, which was already available as the Air King and is said to have been made to order for specific regions and countries, such as the UK market, from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Since most of these are not sold in Japan, they are rare models that rarely come onto the market and are very popular mirror dial models.

Because it is equipped with a non-chronograph movement, the word "PRECISION" is written at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, which means accuracy.
