A Note from the Appraiser

While there are some scratches and scuffs from use, the case and bezel are in good condition, almost as if they haven't been polished.
While there is some gold plating wear and minor stains on the dial, the bracelet is quite attractive, as it shows almost no wear considering its age.
This is a highly recommended watch, complete with its original box and warranty card, and with the original seal still intact on the case back. If you've been looking for one, please consider this opportunity.

Product Background

When it was released in 1956, it was the world's first wristwatch to display the date and the day of the week in full. It is Rolex's top-of-the-line model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum. The bracelet that comes with it is called the "President Bracelet" after it was presented to the then US President Eisenhower.

Model features

The Ref.18248 is equipped with Rolex's in-house movement "Cal.3155", which allows quick change of date and day of the week and time adjustment. It also has a function called hack function that stops the second hand when the crown is pulled out.

Product design

The 18K yellow gold case and champagne dial are beautiful, and the combination with the Bark specification is very rare.
