A Note from the Appraiser

We have a very rare Boys Explorer with a circle mirror dial in stock.
The condition is good with some scuffs and small scratches, but no major scratches and it is in relatively good condition for a vintage model.
The mirror dial, which has rare features such as a chapter ring, double Swiss, and 6 dots, has aged, small scratches, and a few missing luminous spots, but the luster remains and exudes a nice vintage atmosphere. This is a rare model that is very rare, so if you are looking for one, please consider this item. This product has been overhauled at our affiliated workshop.

*Since this is a rivet bracelet, it will take some time to adjust the size.
*The hands were replaced in later years and the luminous properties have been corrected.

Product Background

The Explorer I is a boys' model based on the Ref. 5500, which was already available as the Air King and is said to have been made to order for specific regions and countries, such as the UK market, from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Model features

Since most of these are not sold in Japan, they are rare models that rarely come onto the market and are very popular mirror dial models.

Product design

Because it is equipped with a non-chronograph movement, the word "PRECISION" is written at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, which means accuracy.
