A Note from the Appraiser

Although there are scuffs and scratches from use, the case and bracelet are in good condition. The popular black "Big Red" dial has some age-related patina on the sub-dials, but there is no loss of lume on the indexes, and the black surface is generally clean. This is a highly recommended and rare manual-wind Daytona with all original parts, so if you are looking for one, please consider it.

Born in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the needs of professional racing drivers. It is the ultimate tool watch for those with a passion for driving and speed. Sixty years after its birth, it continues to reign as an unrivaled sports chronograph, transcending time.

The Daytona "Ref. 6263," featuring a plastic bezel and representing the third generation, emerged around 1969. It is particularly popular among all Daytona models, being the final hand-wound Daytona and a highly coveted vintage model for collectors.

The combination of the slightly smaller 37mm case and the plastic bezel creates a great vintage atmosphere.
