While there are some scuffs and scratches from use, the lugs are in excellent condition with sharp edges. The dial is a rare "center split" dial, and the spider dial with its large cracks creates an outstanding aesthetic. This is a higher-end model of the Explorer, developed from a model for explorers to a model for cave explorers. It emphasizes durability and functionality, and is equipped with a date function, crown guard, and a distinctive 24-hour hand.

The movement evolved from "Cal. 1570" to "Cal. 3085," which allows the hour hand to move independently. The 24-hour hand is equipped with a GMT function, allowing the watch to keep track of two time zones.
