A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scratches and scuffs from use, but both the case and buckle are in good condition and look sturdy.
There are small scratches on the bezel, lugs, and case sides, but these appear to be non-polished, so we have decided not to finish them.
This is a limited edition model that was announced at the Grand Seiko Special Selection Event, which is held annually in 2023 and is by invitation only.
This model is almost never available, so we recommend it to anyone looking for one.

The Evolution 9 collection represents a new frontier for Grand Seiko, based on the "Evolution 9 Style," a new design grammar conceived in pursuit of creating a truly superior wristwatch.
It features the essence of Grand Seiko design, which has matured over many years, and at its core, the Japanese aesthetic sense that finds the delicate transitions between light and shadow and the beauty in between.

Model features

This rare model is limited to 15 pieces at the Seiko Special Selection held in 2023.
It is equipped with the mechanical high-beat "Cal.9SA5A" movement, boasting a high beat rate and precision.
The strap is made of Kyoto leather with unique hand-finished foil stamping.

Product design

Set against the backdrop of Mount Iwate in Shizukuishi, the blue dial features a striped pattern reminiscent of the magic hour, the time period when the sky changes color.
