Product Background

This model is inspired by Apollo 8, which achieved the first human circumlunar flight in 1968, and Omega's history in space exploration. It is part of the redesigned "Dark/Grey Side of the Moon" collection for 2025, and features Jim Lovell's words "THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY" engraved on the caseback.

Model features

The "Grey Side of the Moon" features a 44.25mm grey ceramic case paired with a skeleton dial reminiscent of the lunar surface. It is powered by the manual-winding Master Chronometer Caliber 3869, offering a magnetic resistance of 15,000 gauss and a 50-hour power reserve. The lightweight and scratch-resistant ceramic material is another welcome feature for everyday wear.

Product design

It features a gray ceramic case with plasma finish and a skeleton dial made of gray anodized aluminum. The movement, which reproduces the lunar surface, can be seen from the dial side, and the three-dimensional construction allows you to enjoy the "far side" of the moon from the back as well. The gray hands, indexes, and nylon strap create a inorganic and urban impression.
