Product Background

The "Tank" watch, designed by Louis Cartier in 1917, was inspired by the bird's-eye view of the Renault tank, which was used in trench warfare during World War I.

Model features

This is the seventh model in the "Cartier Privé" collection, which has been running since 2017. It is a rare model, limited to 200 pieces, and was announced in 2023.

Product design

The case size has been updated from the original "Tank Normale's" 29.6mm x 23mm to a modern 32.6mm x 25.7mm, and the crown is set with a beautiful ruby cabochon. The satin-finished silver dial features railway minute track and Roman numeral indexes, and is marked with the secret sign of 1917, the year the "Tank" was born.
