Product Background

Capek is a watch manufacturer founded in Geneva in 1845 by Francois Capek, a watchmaker to the court of Emperor Napoleon III from the Czech Republic. The new Capek was revived in 2011, inheriting his legacy. The Antarctic, which means Antarctica, is an up-and-coming luxury sports model that is very popular.

Model features

This rare model, limited to only 38 pieces worldwide, is a new product announced at Watches & Wonders in 2022. While rooted in Capek tradition, it was developed as a more sophisticated concept.

Product design

The dial is made of crystallized osmium, one of the rarest precious metals on earth. Osmium is extremely hard, dense and heavy, and was discovered by Smithson Tennant in 1803. Furthermore, it does not exist in its pure form in nature, and is only available as a processing by-product, making this model unique and luxurious.
