Product Background

When it was released in 1956, it was the world's first wristwatch to display the date and the day of the week in full. This is Rolex's highest-end model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum.

Model features

This is the "Ref. 18039" with a quick-set date function. It features a thick, rounded "Kama-boko" shaped case.

Product design

Case diameter: 36mm. The crystal has been upgraded from a plastic crystal to a sapphire crystal from the previous model. The silver dial and "diamond-cut" index combination give this model a luxurious feel.
