A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scratches due to use, but the case is sturdy and looks good.
This rare model was produced in a limited run of 30 pieces to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the German long-established shop "WEMPE." The case is made of platinum, which is rare for Panerai, and the movement is the "Caliber OPXVI," a Panerai customization based on the Lemania Caliber 1872.
Although there is no warranty, it comes with a manufacturer's repair certificate and the leather strap is in very good condition, making it a recommended item.
This is a rare model that is rarely available, so if you are looking for it, please consider this opportunity.

Product Background

This limited edition model, limited to 30 pieces worldwide, was produced in 2005 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the chronometer workshop of Wempe, a long-established German luxury watch manufacturer. It was designed as an anniversary model exclusively for Wempe, and is a collector's item with very few copies in circulation on the market.

Model features

Equipped with the Lemania-based manual-winding chronograph caliber OP XVI, it features a small seconds, a 30-minute counter, and a power reserve of approximately two days. Despite its platinum case, it is water resistant to 100m and is practical. The "Platinum x Wempe x Limited Edition of 30 pieces worldwide" makes it one of the rarest and most collectible Panerai watches.

Product design

This sporty design features a 42mm platinum cushion case with wire lugs, a black dial with twin registers, and a peripheral tachymeter. Luminous indexes and baton hands ensure excellent legibility, and the black alligator strap with a refined metal buckle adds a touch of dressiness.
