This model has embodied casual elegance since its birth in 1976. It was designed and created by the genius designer of the watch world, Gerald Genta.

The dual sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position displays a 60-minute counter and a 12-hour counter on the same axis. This is Patek Philippe's first sports chronograph model, released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus.

It features a rounded octagonal bezel, a case inspired by a ship's porthole, and a horizontally embossed dial.
