A Note from the Appraiser

There are scratches appropriate for its age, but as it is a vintage model the atmosphere is not particularly affected.
The mirror dial has spider web-like cracks, showing very unusual aging.
The dial still retains its luster, making it a very atmospheric piece.
This is the 5512 Non-Circle Mirror, which is rare, so if you are looking for one, please consider this item.
This product has been overhauled at our affiliated workshop.

This model was the talk of the town as the world's first diver's watch equipped with a rotating bezel to measure diving time. The Submariner was developed for true professional divers who work in harsh environments.

Produced from 1959 to 1978, it was the first Submariner to feature a crown guard. Compared to the Ref. 5513, the Ref. 5512 had a shorter production period and there are fewer of these watches on the market, making it a rare model.

The clean dial without a date, the domed crystal, and the rimless indexes give the design a classic feel.
