Product Background

When it was released in 1956, it was the world's first wristwatch to display the date and the day of the week in full. This is Rolex's top-of-the-line model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum.

Model features

It is equipped with the in-house movement "Cal.3255", and the precision standard is set to about twice that of previous chronometers. The bracelet that comes with it is called the "President Bracelet" after it was sent to the then US President Eisenhower.

Product design

This is an "ombré" dial, which means "shadow," and is commonly known as a "green ombré" dial, with a gradation from black to green.
