The Speedmaster is one of Omega's signature timepieces, having been carried on six moon landing projects. Originally equipped with a hand-wound caliber, it was sold under the name "Seamaster Chronograph", but was renamed "Speedmaster" in 1957.

The movement is the Cal.3861, an updated version of the Cal.1861. The aluminum bezel ring features a tachymeter scale with a dot over 90 (a dot diagonally above the number 90).

The white lacquered stepped dial features an applied OMEGA logo and indexes, as well as Moonwatch-style hands.
