Product Background

IWC's famous "Da Vinci" was born in 1969 equipped with a quartz movement. In 1985, an automatic winding mechanism was adopted and it evolved into a complication model.

Model features

This not only simplifies operation, but also frees up space in the movement, allowing an intermediate wheel with more teeth to be placed there, making the Da Vinci's moon phase display more accurate than ever before. ,The biggest feature is that the entire perpetual calendar is driven by the date ring, which moves once a day.

Product design

The four subdials are regularly arranged and beautifully balanced to ensure visibility. The case shape is reminiscent of a pocket watch, with rounded crowns and push buttons. This model displays all the timekeeping information on the dial, including the date, day of the week, time, and moon phase.
