There are scratches and marks throughout the watch appropriate for its age, but the case is not thin and it gives the impression of being a sturdy piece.
The 12 o'clock position on the dial has only "OYSTER PERPETUAL" written on it without any date notation, and the index is a later style edged dial.
The index has discolored considerably, giving it a semi-vintage feel, making it a highly recommended piece.
