A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scratches and scuffs from use, but the case has not been excessively polished and is in good condition.
The period-appropriate MK4 dial has slight age-related wear that can be seen with a magnifying glass, but is generally in excellent condition.
This is a very rare red Submariner that comes with a warranty and chronometer certificate from that time.

This model garnered attention as the world's first diver's watch equipped with a rotating bezel for measuring dive time. It was developed for true professional divers operating in harsh environments.

The Ref. 1680 was manufactured from around 1969 to 1980, but the "White Sub" was a short-lived model with a production period of only a few years.

This is the first time that a Submariner has been fitted with a calendar function, and it features a distinctive design with a date display with a Cyclops lens.
