The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1960 to around 1989
The Vintage Explorer has undergone various specification changes over its long production period.
This is a very popular vintage model that always sells quickly in our store.
The item we have in stock this time was manufactured around 1968.
Normally, if the watch was manufactured around 1968, the MK1 dial known as the "Frogfoot" would match the age of the watch, but the dial on this watch was replaced later.
However, the fact that it has been replaced with an MK5 dial instead of the regular service dial is a big plus!
What's more, it has a fat font style MK5 dial.
Honestly, isn't this dial attractive?
The dial condition is also excellent and very clean!!
The hands are luminous with Luminova, but it doesn't detract from the atmosphere at all!
This particular item is in good case and bracelet condition and highly recommended!
The original case has a slight polished feel to it, but there are no noticeable scratches.
The case side is also in good condition.
There are some minor scratches from use, but it is in very good condition!
The bracelet is also from a later period (clasp/VC), but is in good condition with almost no signs of wear!!

Although it does not match the popular vintage Explorer "Ref. 1016", it is in very good overall condition and has an attractive fat font MK5 dial!
