Introducing the popular Rolex model, the Explorer II.
The item we have in stock this time is all tritium luminous,
This semi-vintage model features a single buckle.
I have the impression that many people are looking for a white dial for this model,
This is a very cool model with a single tritium black dial that is surprisingly hard to find!
This particular example is a Ref. 16570 with a rare dial,
If you like it, pay attention to the dial!!
yes!!
If you look closely at the chronometer markings on this unit,
The upper row "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" and
The spacing between the words "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is even.
This dial is commonly known as a "center split."
The image above is number E that we are introducing this time.
The image below shows the dial of Ref. 16570/A.
It's easy to understand when you compare them like this!!
Even so, the center split of the Ref. 16550 is famous,
It is also found in the early serial numbers of the Ref. 16570.
The Ref.16550's center split/black dial is
Almost always, the dial is spider-shaped.
This one was in very good condition with no cracks.
Black dial with center split
I'm honestly surprised that there is a dial without any cracks.
And the second hand has a dot at the tip!!
This needle is very tempting!!
[Tip dot]
The second hand has a luminous dot on the outside, which was present until the early 1990s.
Not all initial units are equipped with this
The dot on the tip is a nice feature.
The second hand is hard to find,
I feel that this has the potential to become an even more valuable point in the future.
The condition is polished, and there are scratches on the case and bracelet.
There are no major scratches!
The glass was replaced in later years.
The bracelet is slightly wrinkled.
However,
The clasp code is "O" so it matches the era!!
Accessories include box, warranty card, chronometer tag, EX booklet (USA90),
Comes with an Oyster booklet (USA90) and a calendar (90-91).
The outer box has a reflector seal firmly attached!!
Finally, a wrist shot!!
If you look closely,
Center split notation!
And a dot-tipped second hand!!
This is the charm of this individual!
