The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This is a white Sub that has been around since 1975.
The Ref. 1680 was produced from 1969 to 1980.
The White Sub was a short-lived model with a production period of only a few years.
This model was manufactured around 1980.
This is the final model year for the Ref.1680.
Although it was only produced for a few years, this white sub has a wide variety of dial variations.
The dial that has arrived this time is type 2, where the Submariner notation is larger than the waterproof notation.
The most attractive thing about this specimen is the tanning effect!!
The tritium on the indexes and hands is luminous and burnt evenly and relatively darkly.
The bezel insert is also original to the MK3!!
Just adding this bezel makes the watch look amazing!
The dial is in very good condition overall and has been kept in exceptionally clean condition.
There is a little bit of rust on the needle, but that's part of the vintage feel!
The luminous condition is also good!!
There are some scratches from use appropriate for the age, but the overall condition is good.
The lugs on the middle case are thick and have sharp edges.
