The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1960 to around 1989
This is an R-number 1016, a later model year.
There are also E-series models which were produced in extremely limited numbers, but the R and L-series models are popular years which are nearing the end of production.
Well then!! This particular one. The dial is the MK5 that matches the time period.
This is the final dial produced from around 1986 to around 1990, and it is a well-balanced and popular dial!
The dial is in very good condition with no noticeable scratches or stains.
The luminous material is all tritium. The luminous material on the "5-type dial" doesn't burn very much.
There is no sign of luminous discoloration on this particular watch. The condition of the luminous hands is excellent!!
The condition is very good with no noticeable scratches from use!
The middle case is in very good condition!!
This is a fairly old Ref. 1016, but it's rare to find one in such good condition more than 30 years after production!
There are some small scratches on the side of the case, but it is in good condition!
The bracelet, which matches the age and has a clasp code "L", is slightly warped but is relatively sturdy and in good condition!!
The accessories are in a box!
The reflector sticker is a nice feature!
