The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1960 to around 1990
The Vintage Explorer has undergone various specification changes over its long production period.
The item arriving this time is the L number, which is the final item.
There are also E-series models, which were produced in extremely limited numbers, but the R and L-series models are popular years that are nearing the end of production.
The dial is a "5-type dial"
This is the final dial produced from around 1986 to around 1990, and it is a well-balanced and popular dial!
The luminous material on the “5-inch dial” doesn’t burn very easily.
Although this particular model cannot be said to be pure white, there is not much luminous fading.
The color of the hands and indexes is uniform.
There are slight cracks in the luminous hands, but this does not detract from the atmosphere.
Well, this particular watch has an early MK1 dial, the L-number, and features luminous indexes for 3, 6, and 9 that are thick and cute, making it a rare dial known as a "fat font" or "fat luminous."
What do you think? This chubby 3/6/9!!
It's cute (lol)
This is an interesting dial in that even though they use the same L-number fat font, there are slight differences in the typeface depending on the individual dial.
The case and bracelet are in good overall condition.
The case side is in the condition shown.
It will be in an exceptionally beautiful condition!!
The middle case is a good piece with sharp edges!!
It is a very impressive lug shape.
Accessories include box, warranty card, international service warranty card (2016), EX booklet (84), Oyster booklet (89) and calendar (89-90).
Wrist shot!!
I can't get enough of those plump 3, 6 and 9!!
This is a wonderful product!!
