Yesterday, I bought the second generation Explorer II
"Ref. 16550" with an ivory dial (right).
We have introduced this model to you, but today we would like to introduce you to a rare example of the first model, "Ref. 1655".
The first Explorer II "Ref. 1655" manufactured from 1971 to 1983
The Ref. 1655 exudes a vintage feel.
The retro bezel and large orange 24-hour hand make this a very attractive model!
This is a very popular vintage model and we receive many inquiries about it at our store.
The one we are introducing this time was manufactured around 1975.
The dial is the original "Type 2 dial" that matches the era.

The bezel is equipped with a Type 2 bezel that matches the era.
The bezel is in good condition with sharp edges.

The 24-hour hand on this watch has turned from orange to lemon yellow over time.
This is a special type of individual that has lost its color and is
commonly known as an "albino."
Albino is mostly seen on MK2 dials,
Since the Ref.1655 itself is not widely available,
It's hard to find an albino now!
We took a photo and compared it with the MK1 dial 1655 (right) on display in our store.
The MK1 has an orange 24-hour hand specific to the Ref.1655,
Albinos have a beautifully pale color and give off a unique aura.
This individual has the wonderful characteristic of being albino.
The condition is also attractive!
