This movement is based on Zenith's automatic chronograph movement , El Primero, and has been reduced in frequency from 36,000 vibrations per hour to 28,800 vibrations per hour, with improvements being made to its durability, etc.
Produced from the R series (around 1988) to the P series (around 2000),
This was the last Rolex chronograph model to feature a third-party movement.
Considering that, it is indeed a very rare model.
Recently, the price of the stainless steel model/Ref. 16520 has been rising,
Solid gold models are also steadily increasing in popularity.

We introduced the 16523/4 line model a while ago,
