The second generation Explorer II Ref. 16550, manufactured from 1984 to 1988, has arrived!
This is a short-lived model, with a production period of only a few years.
The dial color of "Ref.16550" is
Available in black, ivory and white.
The latest arrival is the ivory dial, which is considered to be the rarest of all.

This is a comparison photo with the white lettering/L number "Ref.16570" (right).
The L number has a pure white enamel dial,
The difference is easy to see.
The ivory dial has individual differences,
This particular watch has a richly colored ivory dial.

The upper part of the chronometer notation reads "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER"
The dial (above) is known as a "center split," meaning that the space between the letters "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is aligned at the top and bottom.

The dial condition is very good,
The tritium luminous material has a cream color that matches the ivory dial.

The "Ref.16550" has a similar design to the "Ref.16570",
It features a large, angular bezel with typeface.
I'm sure there are many people who like this bezel with a strong retro feel.

This product is in good case and bracelet condition and highly recommended!

This is a 1984 model, so it has some exterior finishing.
There is no excessive finishing and the lug feet are sturdy.

The single bracelet with the clasp code "I" engraved on it matches the era.
