SOLD OUT!!
The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This is an early model with a red Submariner logo, manufactured from 1969 to 1976.
It is commonly known as the Red Sub .
The dial is MARK6.
Feet first, not meters first
This is the final red sub dial manufactured between 1974 and 1976.
A notable feature of Close 6 is that the horizontal bars in the Ft notation are all on the same line.
Unfortunately, the luminous points, hour, minute and second hands of this watch have been replaced with Luminova.
The index is exquisitely burnished and in very good condition.
*The bezel insert is a later model.
The calendar disc is original with a silver base.
The dial has a very small peel at the 6 o'clock position, but is otherwise in very good condition.
*These scratches do not detract from the atmosphere.
The condition is good with minor scratches and scuffs on the case, bracelet, and bezel due to use.
The wrap bracelet has some dents and stretching.
The watch comes with a special bracelet (380/9315) made specifically for the Ref. 1680.
The case is relatively sturdy for a watch made around 1974.
It will be in good condition.
The Ref. 1680 looks really cool with its thick plastic crystal.
Wrist shot!!
The dial with beautifully burnished indexes is wonderful!!
The hard-to-find red Submariner "Ref.1680/MK6"
Although the hands have been replaced, this is a fine example that allows you to enjoy the charm of the old Submariner.
This is a recommended red Submariner that can be purchased for under 2 million yen.
