The second generation Explorer II, manufactured from around 1984 to around 1988
The short-lived model "Ref. 16550", which was produced for only a few years, has arrived again!
The dial colors of "Ref.16550" are black, white, and ivory.
The item we have in stock this time is the ivory dial, which is considered to be the rarest of all.
The luminous edges and metal frame of the hands are silver.
The chronometer notation is "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" on the top line.
The spacing between the words "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is even.
This dial is commonly known as a "center split."
As for the degree of ivory, this particular watch has a fairly rich ivory dial.
The tritium on the hands and indexes has also changed to cream color.
It is a very attractive face.
Unfortunately, during the overhaul of Rolex Japan in 2014,
The second hand has been replaced and is now Luminova, but the atmosphere is not compromised.
