Hello!
Kaneko from Commit Ginza will introduce some recommended watches!
Today we have a Vintage Explorer II.
Rolex Explorer II All Tritium
Ref.1655 Serial.60 series (manufactured around 1979)
Cal.1570 78360/FF580 Clasp Code R2
Accessories: Box
SOLD OUT!!
The first Explorer II "Ref. 1655" manufactured from 1971 to 1983
The dial is characterized by its large orange 24-hour hand and the base of the hand which is painted the same black as the dial, creating a "phantom effect" that makes the luminous parts appear to be floating.
The large 24-hour hand and phantom effect have been inherited by the current model, Ref. 216570.
The one we are introducing this time was manufactured around 1979.
A watch from around 1979 would normally have an MK3 bezel and an MK4 dial, but this product comes with a replacement bezel.
The dial is a replacement dial.
Replacement dials with Luminova finish are also available, but this product is a tritium replacement dial and all of the hands are tritium, so they do not currently emit light.
The luminous condition is very good.
The calendar disc has a silver base.
This product does have some shortcomings, such as the replacement bezel, case, and dial, but it is in excellent condition and highly recommended!!
There are small scratches due to use,
Although it will be a replacement, the condition of the case is still in outstanding good condition.
The sharp edges of the lug legs make them look very cool!
The edge lines of the bezel are also well-defined, making this a very impressive piece overall.
The bracelet is a later model, but it is in good condition with almost no stretching!
Wrist shot!! The retro bezel and dial create an old-fashioned atmosphere, making this a mysteriously intriguing vintage model.
Old Explorer II "Ref. 1655" Although it comes with a replacement bezel, case, and dial, it is an attractive piece with all tritium and excellent case condition!
Please take a look at this atmosphere.
Thank you for your consideration!
