Today, we have an excellent example of the GMT-Master II.

The GMT-Master II "Ref.16710" was manufactured from around 1988 (R series) to around 2007 (M series).

It was introduced as the successor to the previous model, Ref.16760, and was a long-selling model produced for approximately 20 years.

In its early manufacturing period, it was sold concurrently with the GMT-Master/Ref.16700,
and during that time, only the black and red "Coke" insert was available.

After Ref.16700 was discontinued around 1999 (A series),
black and blue/red, commonly known as "Pepsi" inserts, were added,
and three types of bezel colors became available!

Even with the same Ref.16710, the expression changes completely depending on the bezel color,
which is a unique charm of this model!

Nevertheless,
the market price of 5-digit GMT-Masters has shown remarkable growth in recent months!

The previous market prices seem like a lie,
and it's now common for pieces with a warranty card to exceed 2 million yen.

Recently, 5-digit models in general, with their strong retro feel, seem to be gaining popularity.

The appeal of 5-digit models lies in their ability to evoke a deep, vintage atmosphere while also being highly practical!
