The long-selling model "Ref.5513" was produced for about 27 years.
Over its long manufacturing period, it underwent various minor changes,
and is known for having a wide variety of dial variations.
The specifications changed from mirror dials to matte dials, and later to serif dials,
and the ability to enjoy different expressions from each era is a major appeal of the Ref.5513!
It is also a very popular vintage model that sells well in our store!
What we're introducing today is the "no-serif dial", which allows you to fully enjoy the vintage atmosphere.
The indexes have no metal bezels, and the simple construction with luminous material directly applied to the matte black dial
shows a different expression from the later serif dials.
The dial is an MK4 dial with "SUBMARINER" written at the top, and the "S" appears to be an inverted Z.
The serial number is in the 8.3 million range, which is generally the period when the final no-serif MK5 dial was seen, but
this particular watch is equipped with an earlier generation MK4 dial.
While the combination of an 8.3 million serial number and an MK4 dial may seem unusual,
it appears there can be some overlap in the timing of such specification changes.
As you can see, the dial condition is excellent,
and it is in beautiful condition even under a loupe!
There are some minor scratches on the crystal,
but the dial is in impeccable condition.
The beautiful burn of the luminous material is also good!
The maxi indexes have beautifully creamed and maintain an excellent condition with no chipping.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The luminous material on the hands, with its exquisite aging, is also in good condition!
The bezel is fitted with an MK4 insert that retains a solid black color!
The contrast with the matte dial is outstanding, making for a sharp and attractive face!
While there are minor scratches from use on the case and bracelet,
it is an excellent example with superb overall condition!
In particular, the middle case is thick and in superb condition!
How about that?!
These are truly powerful lugs!!
The horn-like lugs are also intact!
It's rare to find such an excellent example among 4-digit models.
The fact that it maintains a clean overall condition is also a positive point!
The clasp code for the buckle without grooves is "H".
The period-correct hard bracelet is also in good condition with almost no looseness!
Overall, it is an excellent piece that maintains superb condition!
