Hello!

Kaneko from Commit Ginza is here to recommend a watch!Today, we're featuring an excellent example of a solid gold black Submariner.

ROLEX Submariner Date All TritiumRef.1680/8 Serial.57 (Manufactured around 1978)Cal.1570 Accessories: Watch onlyIn-store price: 6,270,000 yen (tax included)

When you think of vintage Submariners, many people probably imagine stainless steel models. However, the "Ref.1680/8" was introduced in 1969 as the first 18K yellow gold model.

This is a rare model that, while being a sports watch, also offers a luxurious feel, and exudes a special aura even among vintage Rolex watches.

With details unique to this era, such as the acrylic crystal and the "nipple" hour markers,it can be said to be a model where you can fully enjoy the true essence of a vintage Submariner.

The model we are introducing today is the Ref.1680/8, manufactured around 1978.It's a very cool piece with an 18K yellow gold case paired with a black leather strap!

It possesses the power of solid gold yet shows a somewhat understated expression, which is unique to this combination!

While solid gold Submariners are strongly associated with bracelets, leather strap versions also officially existed at the time.

By combining it with a leather strap, it becomes luxurious yet allows you to enjoy a classic atmosphere, which can be said to be a charm unique to the 1680/8!

Although we cannot definitively state that the featured piece was originally a leather strap model,it looks incredibly cool with the black leather strap!

It has a different kind of subdued charm compared to the bracelet version, and personally, I just love this vibe.

The buckle is a genuine YG buckle!!

The matte black dial with the applied crown logo, "nipple" hour markers, and gold lettering combine to create an incredibly cool dial.

The dial condition is excellent, maintaining a beautiful state even under a loupe.

The tritium lume, which has aged beautifully to a creamy color, also looks great!

The luminous material is all tritium. The condition of the hand lume is also good!

The exquisitely aged MK3 insert is also wonderful! It has great character!

While there are signs of use,the condition of the middle case is exceptionally good, making it an excellent example!

The lugs are thick and have sharp edges! The hairline finish is also beautiful!

A 1680/8 with such a sharp case is undoubtedly rare!

Wrist shot!!An incredibly cool and super stylish solid gold Submariner!!

The first solid gold blue Submariner, "Ref.1680/8 '78 All Tritium".Just being a solid gold vintage Submariner, which is very hard to find, is attractive enough, but the piece we are introducing is a highly recommended watch that maintains a wonderful condition for both the dial and case!!It's rare to come across a vintage Submariner with such a great vibe.Customers looking for a super stylish solid gold model, please consider it!
