SOLD OUT!!

The first solid gold Submariner, Ref.1680/8, has arrived, so let's introduce it right away!
The Ref.1680/8 is a rare model that is hard to come by these days.
The item that just arrived has a dial that has changed from blue to brown.
It's a rare tropical dial!

What do you think?
While it can still be seen at overseas auctions, etc.,
it's rare to find a dial with such a beautiful and even patina.

As you can see, even up close, the change is quite beautiful.
It's practically orange now.
The applied crown logo and gold lettering on the patinated dial
make for an exceptionally cool dial.

The indexes on this model are also distinctive, aren't they!
"Barnacle"
These are the pointed, applied indexes found on GMT-Master and Submariner models manufactured between the 1960s and 1980s.
Because they resemble barnacle shells, they are commonly known as "Barnacle dials."
They are also called "Nipple Dials" overseas.
The barnacle indexes, which sparkle when light hits them, have a very distinctive and attractive charm.

The dial condition is excellent,
with no noticeable scratches or deterioration, maintaining a superb state.

The lume point has had some luminous material reapplied,
but the hands and index luminous material are tritium and have beautifully changed to a cream color.

The case and bracelet show signs of use,
but the overall aesthetic is not compromised.

The mid-case, bracelet, and buckle show some signs of polishing.

There are signs of repair on the bracelet and buckle in some places,
and the buckle lock does not secure properly.

The bracelet shows some stretch commensurate with its age.

As it is a vintage model, there are some minor negative points overall,
but there are no particular issues for use.
Above all, the dial's patina and condition on this particular piece are exceptional,
giving it a very captivating appearance.

Wrist shot! So cool.
Please enjoy the beautiful tropical change that is rarely seen!
