SOLD OUT!!

The Ref. 1680/8, manufactured from around 1969 to 1979, was the first 18K yellow gold Submariner model, making it a historic piece!

With details unique to this era, such as the plastic crystal and barnacle indices, it's a model where you can fully appreciate the true charm of a vintage Submariner.

The individual we are introducing today was manufactured around 1971, making it a relatively early model. With its beautiful aging, it's a piece that allows you to fully appreciate the charm of the 1680/8.

The Ref. 1680/8 is a rare model that is hard to come by, but the individual that has just arrived features a rare dial where the color has beautifully transitioned from blue to purple.

What do you think?
It's rare to see a 1680/8 purple dial that has changed so beautifully.

With a rich wine-purple hue, it takes on a reddish tint or a deep purple depending on the light,
allowing you to enjoy various expressions depending on the angle you view it from.

It's rare to come across an individual with such uniform change.

There is some gold discoloration at the 55-minute mark on the outer edge of the dial, but this natural aging is simply irresistible.

The indices are also a distinctive feature of this model!

"Barnacle"

These are the pointed, applied indices found on GMT-Masters and Submariners manufactured from the 1960s to the 1980s.
They are commonly known as "barnacle dials" because they resemble barnacle shells.

They are also known as "nipple dials" overseas.

The barnacle indices, sparkling when light hits them, are incredibly charming and distinctive.

The purple change dial, applied crown logo, barnacle indices, and gold lettering create a perfectly cool dial.

The dial has some minor scratches, but it is in good and clean condition.

The luminous material on the hands has been repaired, but the overall ambiance is not compromised.

The contrast between the vibrant blue bezel insert and the beautifully aged wine-purple dial is stunning, giving it a unique presence!

The case and bracelet show signs of use, but there are no major scratches, and the condition is good.

Although there is some polishing, the case remains solid.

The buckle clasp code is "D".
It has been replaced at a later date.

There are some inconspicuous repair marks on the back of the bracelet, but this is a relatively common occurrence with four-digit solid gold Submariners.

Although there is some slight stretch, it fits comfortably on the wrist!

Wow, it has such a great look!

Wrist Shot!!
Please enjoy the beautiful purple transformation, a rare sight!
