The second-generation full-gold Submariner Date, "Ref. 16808", produced from around 1980 to around 1988, has arrived, so we'll introduce it right away!

Recently, 80s full-gold Submariners have become less common, but this particular piece has excellent dial, case, and bracelet condition, and the barnacle (fujitsubo) indexes add a charming touch.

"Barnacle (Fujitsubo)"
Applied spire-shaped indexes found on GMT-Master and Submariner models manufactured from the 1960s to the 1980s.
They are commonly known as "Fujitsubo Dials" because they resemble barnacle shells.
Overseas, they are also called "Nipple Dials."

The fujitsubo indexes sparkle beautifully when light hits them, but on this particular piece, the indexes show a nice aging, giving them a slightly subdued glow.
This gives it a unique vintage depth and a calm atmosphere.

Another characteristic of the Fujitsubo dial is the applied crown mark at the 12 o'clock position!

The appeal of this particular piece is the khaki-toned lettering!!
Whether due to individual differences in paint during manufacturing, the lettering has an indescribably exquisite color that is different from typical gold lettering.

Here's a comparison photo with another 16808/gold lettering piece (left). It's interesting how just the color of the lettering can completely change the atmosphere.

The khaki lettering blends exquisitely with the black dial.
The actual item is a super cool piece with a unique presence, so please come and see it in person!

The dial condition is superb, maintaining a clean state even under magnification!

The luminous material is all tritium.
The condition of the luminous material on the hands is also good!!
It has beautifully creamed, and its color perfectly matches the indexes.

Although the case and bracelet show some signs of use, it is an excellent piece that appears to be unpolished!!
Those who prioritize condition will surely be satisfied.

Observe the condition of the middle case!! This powerful case is truly a "thick case"!

Of course, the edge lines are perfectly sharp!
The fine hairline finish is also excellent!

Isn't this case amazing?? It's rare to find a 16808 in such good condition.

The bezel's edge is also painfully sharp!!

The insert is also in good condition!!
The top-class aged luminous point is my personal favorite.

The buckle clasp code is "J11"

The bracelet, which matches the era, is also in top condition with absolutely no stretch!

Accessories include the inner box, warranty card, chronometer certificate, and a rare full-gold anchor! It's rare for such an excellent piece to come with a warranty card!

Finally, a wrist shot!!
This recommended full-gold model boasts a unique presence!!
