Today we have a rare, early production Daytona combo model!!

ROLEX Daytona El Primero 200 Tachymeter Floating Dial All Tritium

Cal.4030 FF403/78363 Clasp code N3
Accessories: Box, warranty card (160: UK/Dec 1989 stamp)
SOLD OUT!!

The El Primero-powered Daytona was manufactured from R-serial to P-serial.
It is a very popular discontinued model with a charming retro feel that current models lack.

While the stainless steel model/Ref.16520 has seen a surge in activity at our store,
the combo model is also steadily moving in the background.

Since the market price for the combo model is slightly lower,
it is also recommended for those who feel that the SS model is too expensive.

In any case, the El Primero models, which are no longer in production,
are notable models that should be acquired now.

This arrival is an early L4-serial example of the combo model "Ref.16523,"
featuring the MK1/200 tachymeter bezel × floating dial,
which is now quite difficult to come across.

This model has some wonderful characteristics, so let me give you a brief overview first!

"200 Tachymeter" MK1 Bezel

The tachymeter bezel on the 16520 is usually a 400 tachymeter,
but very early models had a 200 tachymeter.

It's a rare bezel that is essential for early models!

"Floating Dial"

The 5-line logo at the 12 o'clock position has "COSMOGRAPH" laid out one step apart,
also known as a "floating" dial.

Similar to the 200 tachymeter bezel, floating dials also exist on combo and solid gold models.

Of course, the "6" on the 12-hour sub-dial at 6 o'clock is
the so-called "inverted 6" dial, where the number appears as a "9" when inverted.

Early examples of the Ref.16523 combo and solid gold models with white dials
have sub-dial measurement circles in black.
*From around the S-serial, they change from black to gold.

While this early white dial with black circles, regardless of whether it's MK1 or MK2, seems to be very uncommon,
the rarity of the MK1 floating dial is exceptional.

An important point!!
The dial condition is maintained in a very beautiful state.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The condition of the luminous hands is also good.

The case and bracelet have overall signs of use,
but there are no major scratches and the overall condition is good!!

As you can see, the middle case is solid with no excessive polishing.

The buckle has clasp code "N3."
A period-correct single buckle is securely attached!

There is only slight slack, but the bracelet condition is good!

Accessories include box, warranty card, international service guarantee card, chronometer tag,
Daytona booklet (88), Oyster booklet (87), calendar (89-90), catalog, and extra links,
all included!

Above all, the inclusion of the warranty card is a welcome bonus!!

Finally, a wrist shot!!
The floating/black circle dial gives this model a truly cool and stylish feel!!

El Primero-powered Daytona early model MK1 "Ref.16523/L4 All Tritium"
We haven't seen a white dial 16523/MK1 arrive at our store in several years.
With its accompanying warranty card and consistent parts, this is a highly recommended rare piece.
For customers looking for an early Daytona model packed with charm,
please consider this item!
