We've received the "Ref. 6238," the predecessor model to the Daytona, commonly known as the "Pre-Daytona," featuring a triple chronograph!
The Ref. 6238 is a 36mm chronograph manufactured from around 1962 to 1968. Its distinctive features include sub-dials that are not inverted colors and a tachymeter scale printed on the outer edge of the dial.

Dial colors typically include silver, black, and gray (gunmetal). Among these, the black dial is produced in very small quantities and is a rare model that fetches high prices in the market.

This time, we have a silver dial.
While this is the most common color for the 6238, well-preserved silver dials are quite rare.
Later Daytonas feature a tachymeter engraved on the bezel to measure speed, but the Ref. 6238 uses a mirror-finished smooth bezel.
The tachymeter is printed on the outer edge (inner track) of the dial, creating a cool and distinct atmosphere compared to the manual-wind Daytona.
The design with the numbers 220 to 85 on the scale inverted inwards also has a unique charm.
This particular piece boasts a very attractive dial condition.
While there is extremely minor age-related deterioration visible only under a loupe, it generally maintains a very beautiful state!
It's rare to come across a silver dial in such pristine condition.

The lume on the indexes is in perfect condition with no missing parts. This is a significant plus!

The lume is all tritium. The lume on the hands is also in good condition.

The condition shows some rubbing and scratches from use, but the watch itself is in very good condition!!
It has also been overhauled by our affiliated workshop.

The mid-case is thick, and the Ref. 6238's characteristic plump form remains well-preserved.
Among the many cases that have become thin over time, such a sturdy case is rare!

The watch is equipped with a 7205 rivet bracelet.

The clasp is stamped 66.1, which indicates good consistency.

The end link is the highly rare "71"!!

It is in excellent condition with minimal stretch. This bracelet is undoubtedly rare!

It has a great look. Please come and see this rare piece in person!

Wrist shot! Super cool! Enjoy this top-condition Pre-Daytona!
Pre-Daytona "Ref. 6238/65 All Tritium"This is an incredibly cool and classic masterpiece!
The dial, lume, case, and bracelet are all in excellent condition.
It's rare to find such a unique and exceptional Ref. 6238!
The price is still more affordable compared to manual-wind Daytonas, making it highly recommended.
This is a wonderful and rare piece that doesn't come in often, so if you're looking for a Pre-Daytona that emphasizes individuality, please consider it!
