The third generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.

It's a vintage model that I highly recommend for its comfortable fit and versatility in any situation!

Today, we're introducing an R-serial Ref. 1016, which is a later model among the 1016 references.
R-serial models, which were produced shortly before the end of production, are always popular and sell quickly in our store!

The dial is age-appropriate, featuring a sharp logo.

The matte black dial is in impeccable condition.
This dial condition is truly captivating.

As you can see, the luminous material on the indexes is also in superb condition!

The luminous material is all tritium.
There's a very slight crack on the hour hand, but the luminous condition of the hands is excellent!

The rare point of this particular piece is, without a doubt, the "luminous dot at the tip of the second hand," where the luminous dot is positioned towards the outer edge!

This type of second hand is often seen on semi-vintage models,
but it also exists on Ref. 1016.
We have handled several pieces with this feature in the past.
