The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
It's a vintage model that's comfortable to wear and suitable for any occasion!
Today, we're introducing an R-serial 1016, which is a late-production model. These R-serial models are popular and sell quickly whenever we have them in stock!

The dial is age-appropriate, featuring a sharp logo.

The matte black dial is in excellent, impeccable condition. This dial condition is quite enticing.

As you can see, the luminous material on the indices is also in superb condition!

The luminous material is all tritium. There's a tiny crack in the hour hand, but the luminous material on the hands is in good condition!

The rare feature of this particular piece is, without a doubt, the "pointed seconds hand" with the luminous dot positioned further out! Can you see how the dot is closer to the edge?

This seconds hand is mainly seen in semi-vintage models, but it also exists in the Ref. 1016. We have handled a few of these in the past.

Am I the only one who feels inexplicably happy when seeing this pointed seconds hand? (lol)

Overall, there are signs of use, but it's a decent piece for a vintage model.

As you can see, the mid-case is also solid!

The lugs are sharp and give a good impression!

The buckle clasp code is "M5".

The consistent bracelet has some stretch.

The watch comes with its warranty card. It's rare to find a 1016/pointed seconds hand model with its original warranty card.
Wrist shot!! This is a piece you'll instantly fall in love with, and find yourself constantly checking the seconds hand!
Vintage Explorer "Ref. 1016/R8 serial" This is a rare piece with the extremely scarce pointed seconds hand! The beautifully clean dial and luminous material are also captivating! It's a rare item for us to have a 1016 with a pointed seconds hand and its warranty card! The watch has also been overhauled by our affiliated workshop. If you are looking for a Ref. 1016, please consider this one.
