The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989.
This vintage Explorer underwent various specification changes during its long production period.

Even at our store, this vintage model sells quickly, and this particular item, manufactured around 1969, features an early matte dial.

The crown mark on this early matte dial resembles a frog's foot, hence it's called "Frog Leg" or "Frog Foot".
This dial is characterized by its charming crown mark, unique to vintage models!

This particular piece has hands and indices that have developed a strong, burnt "pumpkin" patina, giving it a wonderful vintage feel!
It's rare to come across a 1016 with such a strong burn.

The dial condition is beautiful, even under a loupe! Such a well-preserved Frog Foot is rare!

As you can see, the luminous material on the indexes is also in top condition!!

The distinct contrast between the matte black dial and the burnt indices is incredibly cool.

The rust on the hands due to aging looks great! The condition of the luminous material on the hands is also excellent.

The case and bracelet are also in good condition, highly recommended!!

Although there are minor scratches from use, the mid-case is in this condition!

The lugs are relatively thick and well-defined!

The bracelet is a rivet bracelet, which adds to its vintage feel!

The clasp engraving matches the date, Q3 1969!!

There is minimal stretch, making this rivet bracelet feel very good in hand!

Wrist shot!!
This vintage Explorer with its deeply burnt tritium is incredibly cool!

The highly popular vintage Explorer "Ref.1016/Pumpkin 69"
This is a rare example of a Frog Foot dial with an incredibly burnt tritium! Don't miss this opportunity, as well-preserved Ref.1016s are becoming scarce in the market!!
If you are looking for a Ref.1016/Frog Foot dial with an outstanding presence,
Please consider it.
