Cal.1570 US Jubilee caseback 67.4
Accessories: Watch only
SOLD OUT!!

The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
This vintage Explorer underwent various specification changes during its long production period.

It's a popular model with a cool, well-designed aesthetic that sits comfortably on the wrist.
Nonetheless, the recent Ref.1016 models are showing a strong surge in popularity! It's a popular model that sells quickly and receives many inquiries in our store.
The market price also seems to be gradually rising recently.

The item that arrived this time is an early matte dial/MK1 manufactured around 1968.
The MK1 dial is called the "Frog Foot" dial because the crown mark has a font resembling a frog's foot.

Furthermore, this particular piece features thick luminous indexes at 3, 6, and 9, a lovable form, and is a rare dial commonly known as "Megafat".
Although some fat font dials exist in later L-series, the MK1/Megafat is said to have the thickest luminous material among Ref.1016 models.

These plump 3, 6, and 9 indexes. It almost looks like the numbers are going to get squashed (lol).
It's a charming dial with a vintage feel.

The dial condition shows some age-related deterioration that is noticeable upon close inspection, but it maintains a clean state with no noticeable scratches or stains.

The condition of the luminous indexes is good, and they have changed to a beautiful cream color, giving it character.

The lume is all tritium.
The hands are later tritium hands, but the overall aesthetic is not compromised.

The bracelet is a US Jubilee! !
This is an individual with an outstanding atmosphere, where the Megafat dial and the Jubilee bracelet are exquisitely combined!

The condition of the case and bracelet shows signs of use, but the case is solid.

It's a dial that you'll grow fond of!!
It's lovely!!

Wrist shot!!
The plump 3, 6, and 9 are irresistible!!
