The model we have in stock this time is a rare red Submariner model.
"Meter first."
The 200m notation comes first, commonly known as "meter first"
This is an early model with a matte dial.
The Meter First was produced from 1969 to 1970.
The Red Submariner is classified into MK1 to MK3 within the Meter First series.
This time we will introduce the second dial, "MK2".
The MK2 dial has the characteristic of "660ft" "Open 6" and is not as unique as the MK1,
It is characterized by a "long f" with a long upper part.
The red font, with red letters painted over white, also gives it a vintage feel, which is nice.
The dial has slight scuffs that can be seen with a magnifying glass,
It is in very good condition for an individual of this age.
The luminous index has turned a beautiful cream color and there is no sign of dirt.
It is maintained in excellent condition.
It has a nice burnt look to it!!
The luminous hands are also tritium and are in excellent condition with no cracks or other visible marks.
The bold MK3 insert is also great!!
It's a cool insert that pairs perfectly with the beautiful dial!
The condition is age-appropriate with some scuffs and scratches,
This is an individual in good overall condition.
As you can see, the middle case is thick and very sturdy!
This is a meter-first model and the case condition is amazing!!
The original chimney crystal and 700 crown are also appealing features!!
The buckle clasp cord is from 1968.
The condition of the Swiss rivets is excellent.
Overall it is in good condition.
Wrist shot!!
This is the coolest red sub MK2 that creates a fantastic atmosphere!!
A representative vintage Submariner model: the red Submariner "MK2"
Recently, it seems like the early red subs are less common than before,
Even if you search hard, it's hard to find such a beautiful MK2 specimen!
Burnt tritium, nice MK3 inserts, Swiss rivets in excellent condition, etc.
This is a recommended initial meter first with many attractive points!
