The third-generation manual-winding Daytona "Ref.6263" was manufactured from around 1969 to around 1988.
It is a very popular manual-winding Daytona model with an attractive plastic bezel.
This item is a 28-serial number model manufactured around 1971-72.

The third-generation manual-winding Daytona has a long production period and a wide variety of dials,
but the individual we are introducing today has no "Daytona" inscription above the 12-hour counter.
The Big Red is cool too,
but the non-inscribed dial is also a very popular early dial.

Furthermore, among the non-inscribed dials, this particular item is the "MK1", the earliest dial that does not have the "σ" inscription
.
The MK1 dial is rare among Ref.6263/5 and is highly sought after!
And, the biggest feature of this individual is thatthe subdials have undergone a beautiful tropical change to brown due to aging!
All the subdials have changed beautifully to brown.
This beautiful tropical change is simply irresistible.
It's rare to come across a manual-winding Daytona with such a strong tropical change.

Here's a comparison with our 6263/silver Big Red. Can you see how much stronger the brown color is on the featured item when you compare them like this?

The color is beautiful. I highly recommend seeing it in person!
The dial condition shows damage around the outer edge that is not visible to the naked eye,
but the surface of the silver dial is in beautiful condition.
The luminous material is all tritium.
The luminous material on the indexes is missing, and unfortunately, there are some repairs to the luminous material,
but the other luminous materials remain in good condition.
The chrono hand was replaced in a later year.

The bezel has been replaced at a later date and is a service bezel.
Although there are minor scratches, the condition is good.

The pushers are groove-less MK2 pushers.
These are also rare pushers!
The overall condition shows signs of use with scratches, but
there are no major scratches and the condition is good.
The mid-case shows some polishing, but
it is still solid.

The bracelet is a 7205/rivet bracelet.
Although there is natural stretching, the condition is good.
*The buckle has been replaced at a later date.

The accessories are substantial!
It comes with a box (with reference sticker), warranty card (domestic authorized), serial tag, chronometer tag,
repair warranty card, other manufacturer repair details, original buckle (with a crack), and extra links.

The fact that it comes with a box with a reference sticker is appealing, but

Above all, the presence of the warranty card is a major plus!

Wrist shot! It looks great!
Please enjoy the tropical dial that has evenly and beautifully changed to brown!

Hand-wound Daytona Ref.6263 / Silver MK1 / Tropical
This model features a rare tropical dial that is seldom seen!
Although there are some minor inconsistencies in the parts, the overall condition is excellent.
It comes with a warranty and, above all, it's an incredibly cool piece with a fantastic vibe!!
The selling price is also attractively set, so if you are looking for a unique hand-wound Daytona, please consider it.
