The first Submariner with date/Ref.1680.
This was manufactured from 1969 to 1975.
This is the early model with the SUBMARINER logo in red , commonly known as the "Red Sub."
The item we have in stock this time is a rare model among red Submariners,
Meter first.
The 200m notation comes first, commonly known as "meter first"
This is an early model with a matte dial.
The Meter First was produced from 1969 to 1970.
The Red Submariner is classified into meter-first models from MK1 to MK3.
This time we will introduce the third dial, "MK3".
The features of the MK3 dial are:
It features an "open 6" of "660ft" and a "short f" with a short upper part of the "F".
It's hard to come across this kind of thing,
This is an extremely rare dial even among red subs!
Furthermore, this particular model is one of the very few with the MK2/MK3 dial.
It has a rare brown dial with strong tropical aging!
Here is a comparison photo with our MK1 dial Ref. 1680 (left)!!
What do you think? You can see a clear difference in color!
Still, it has a very nice color.
It is rare to come across an individual that has undergone such a dramatic brown change.
The area around 4 to 6 o'clock is a slightly blackish brown,
The natural gradation in this area is one of a kind and is irresistible.
The dial condition is very good,
It is in good condition, including the outer minute lines.
The luminous indexes, which have changed to a beautiful cream color, also look great.
The condition of the luminous hands is also good.
It is well balanced with the luminous index.
The bezel is equipped with a ghost faded MK3 insert!
The ghost insert and brown dial are a perfect match and look really cool!
It's a vintage piece!!
*The luminous effect of the luminous points has been corrected.
There are some scratches from use, but the case is sturdy!
This watch was manufactured around 1969-1970, and the middle case is thick and sturdy.
There are scratches on the side of the case at 5 o'clock, but the look is not affected.
The lug legs are also sturdy and powerful!!
The buckle has been replaced in later years.
9315/Wound bracelet (FF380) has some creases and scratches due to its age,
This is also a vintage taste!!
Wrist shot!!
What a wonderful tropical dial!!
Enjoy the taste that is unique to this generation!
