The first Submariner with date/Ref.1680.
This was manufactured from 1969 to 1975.
The early model with the SUBMARINER logo in red,
It is commonly known as the Red Sub .
The item we have in stock this time is a rare model among red Submariners.
Meter first.
The 200m marking comes first, commonly known as "meter first"
This is an early model with a matte dial.
The Meter First was produced from 1969 to 1970.
The Red Submariner is classified into meter first models from MK1 to MK3.
This time we will introduce the third dial, "MK3".
The features of the MK3 dial are:
The “660ft” is characterized by an “open 6” and a “short f” with a short upper part of the “F”.
It is hard to come across such a rare sight.
This is a very rare dial even among red Subs!
Furthermore, this particular model is one of the very few with the MK2/MK3 dial.
It has a rare tropically aged brown dial!
Here is a comparison photo with our MK1 dial Ref. 1680 (right)!!
What do you think? You can see the difference in color when comparing them like this!!
Still, it has a very nice color.
Tropical aged red Submariners are very rare,
The market price will also rise suddenly.
The three hands are tritium luminous, and the color is well balanced with the luminous indexes.
The dial has very natural aging at the 45-52 minute positions.
It's a shame as the rest of the dial is in good condition.
This is also a vintage model.
Of course, we have kept the price down accordingly,
Highly recommended for those looking for a tropical atmosphere.
The bezel is a fat font MK3 bezel.
A MK3 insert this clean is very rare!!
It is in excellent condition to say the least.
*The luminous properties of the luminous points have been corrected.
The condition is age-appropriate with some scratches,
The case and bracelet are in good condition.
Overhauls have also been completed at our affiliated workshop.
This watch was manufactured around 1970, but the middle case is in excellent condition.
The lug legs are in the condition shown!
The lug feet are very impressive and make a great impression!!
The condition of the 9315/wound bracelet (FF280) is also good.
There is some wear and tear, but the condition of the bracelet is good.
It is in very good condition.
The clasp engraving matches the 3rd period of 1970 ( Pat.Pend engraving) .
Wrist shot!!
You look so happy!! Please enjoy the taste that only this generation can offer!
Representative vintage Submariner model/Red Submariner "MK3"
This is an attractive piece with an exquisite tropical aged feel!
The bezel, case, and bracelet are in good condition, and the parts are generally consistent, so I highly recommend it!!
