This is a popular model with a unique character that will appeal to enthusiasts.
While the price of the current model is fluctuating wildly, the price of this model has remained stable and it seems that demand has been increasing recently.
The model we are introducing this time is the earliest Ref. 16520, which has some attractive features.
First, let's look at some of the unique features of the early model!
○MK1 bezel "200 Taki" bezel
The tachymeter bezel on the 16520 is usually 400 meters,
The very early ones were 200 meters long.
○MK2 dial “4 lines”
The initial dial has five lines of English text, but the words "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" have been removed and replaced with four lines.
Like the MK1, this is a rare dial that is very hard to come by.
Personally, I love the cool letter "E" in the ROLEX logo!
○ "Reverse 6" dial
This is an early dial produced up to the S series, and is called the "reverse 6" or "inverted 6" because the number "6" on the 12-hour counter at the 6 o'clock position is inverted to look like a "9".
MK1 dial/floating and MK2 dial/4 line will always be “inverted 6”.
○Single buckle
The single buckle is also an essential feature of this early model.
The clasp code on this piece is "O" and matches the age.
The condition is that it was manufactured around 1989, so there are some scratches and scuffs due to use,
There are no major scratches and the condition is good.
*There is a crown watermark on the glass.
As you can see, the middle case is relatively thick and sturdy!
The lug legs are also a great fit!
The bracelet is in good condition with only slight wear and tear!!
While there are very few early single-brace watches in good condition,
This bracelet has great points!
There is no excessive finishing around the bezel.
The luminous material is all tritium. Early tritium hands that have not been replaced are quite rare!
The needles may deteriorate over time, but this is also part of the charm!
The dial has some scratches, but there is no sign of the typical El Primero deterioration around the subdials etc., and it is in very good condition.
